The number one resource for information
about
the community and voluntary sector in Glasgow.
With over 800 groups entirely reliant on volunteers
having already participated in short interviews. the
Infobase team is continuing to gather information about
groups and organisations in Glasgow that are run on a purely
voluntary basis. This will also inform the city's Community
Engagement Database, funded by the Glasgow Community
Planning Partnership. You can sign up for a data
collection appointment using our new online
form.
Since its launch in May 2005, Infobase has gone from
strength to strength, adding new organisations every
month and providing dozens of individually tailored
information reports. On the website, you can browse
or search by keyword
through our database of over 1500 community and voluntary
organisations. You can also request
reports, have a look at some of the research
Infobase has been involved in, or download our series of
issue-based briefing papers,
giving information on topics like funding and
equalities.
The newest feature of the website is the Infobase
Website Search, which allows you to use keywords to
retrieve information on the voluntary sector from over 500
websites hosted by the organisations themselves.
Development of the 2007 Community
Engagement DatabaseEngage is funded
by the Glasgow Community Planning Partnership.
Phase One of Infobase was funded from Social Justice
Resources. Social Justice Resources are allocated
by Communities Scotland, through the Scottish Executive.
